Melaka Part 3 of 7

After Jonker Street, we went to another end of the street. It is the Red House. This is also one of the significant historic place in Melaka. Over there, you can see many tourists. Since it is a tourist place, some of the locals brought some exotic animals for photo taking purposes to earn some income.

Can you see the Red House behind?

This is a photo with funny shooting process. As usual, we will posed with Mr Ang adjusting the tripod. In this photo, he managed to reach his "spot" on time, but there was an old lady tourist who did not noticed the tripod and walked in front of it. You can see the tourist's hand and the mouth of mine and Godmum's widely opened! lol..............

The exotic animals for photo taking. Well, actually, these are protected animals, that one is actually against the law for doing this. But these 3 animals has been here since the very 1st time i visited Melaka with Mr And which was 4 years back. It is quite amazing the business stil last until today and even the employee remained the same person, a deaf and dumb man! I am pretty sure the business was quite good because the employee is currently communicate via a 3G mobile phone. Whenever his phone vibrated, he will answer it with video calls and do his hand signals thingy.

After the Red House, we walked upward to another place with the bomb thing. From the way you see it, it is actually a place for the soldiers to watch out the enemy at night.

Mr Ang and I taking photo together.
Mr Top Gun!
This is a small tower for the soldiers to watch out. I was pretending I was trapped inside. hahha........
Mr Ang was pretending he was yoga-ing.
Another family photo with the bomb! This time around, no obstacles during the shooting process.

Melaka Part 2 of 7

After lunch, we walked around Melaka town. Melaka is a small town. You can literally visit the whole town via walking. Every Saturday night, the Jonker Street of Melaka will be full of all sort of stalls. That is the attractive point of Melaka. And some of the stalls were already there since afternoon. We went to this park, which just built recently. Mr Ang brought his tripod and set the timer to have a picture together but he set the time to fast. That was him running halfway to his position after pressing the button. We were laughing behind. Well, if you look carefully, he actually standing at the desired position as even though he wasn't prepared, he did not block anyone in this picture. Thus, this considered a good picture. There, a perfect one. Then, we stopped by a glasses stall. Mum was wearing a fancy-without-glass spectacle. This is a hit now, that every one is wearing it for the purpose of fashion. Godmum with sunglasses. lol...The sunglasses fits her hair. Mr Ang with the fancy glass. He actually like it and even seriously want to buy it! Another glass, which made him looked so much like Chang Lung! This is his own glass, the Top Gun glass. I love him wearing it. Oh, that's me with a big hat. Nice huh?

Melaka Part 1 of 7

It has been a while since I blogged the last time. I was busy settling down. So sorry for the delay. Now, for the very very late unsettled blogs, please take your time reading them!

Mr Ang and I have been planning to Melaka with his Godmum, mum and Aunty Selena some time ago. It has been his desire to bring his Godmum, mum and Aunty Selena around as those 3 are the closest to him since infant. They are the ones who cuddle, hug, play, help him up whenever he has problems. There are photos of him sitting on their lap, celebrating birthdays, etc. I will post those photos up whenever I have a chance.

So, that day has finally arrive and Melaka, here we come!

Once we reach there, we headed to the hotel to check in and to freshen up before having our lunch.

That's their room, with me sitting on the bed watching TV, waiting for them to get ready.
Godmum and mum were having coffee break and enjoying the scenery.

Godmum was so happy that she was telling her friends that her Godson brought her to Melaka for a trip.

We had Nyonya laksas and cendol at this authentic look kopitiam. Every time we go Melaka, it is a must to have meal in this kopitiam.
The cendols with different fillings. Lovely...Imaging outting blended ice with sticky melted gula melaka into your mouth! The food that we ordered. Nyonya laksa and curry laksa. The nyonya laksa actually taste exactly like Penang laksa but the boss lady insisted that it is not. We ordered 4 bowls for 5 person. In the end, Godmum was not satisfy that she went to order another Nyonya laksa. They loved it! Mr Ang was so flattered that he brought them to the right place!
The view of the kopitiam from inside.

Enjoying the food.

All finished!

Love

I noticed something today! Of all the trips that we went, my hubby was not in so many of the photos and yet he loves to be the subject. why? because he is always the photographer! and also because he has a lousy-electronic-handler wife! oh, that's why he carries the tripod often, cos i don't take good photos. Now I know why...hmmm

Mr Ang loves to travel with me. He always ask, baby, when are we going Australia? Hong Kong? Macau? Taiwan? Europe? anywhere! I love to travel with him too. After a trip, both of us love to see the photos taken, again and again and we will laugh every time.

Ok, from now on, i will make an effort to take beautiful photos with my hubby and of my hubby. Don't worry baby, I will take good photos of you in the future, lots of them! It is one of my way to show my love to you. Love u honey...

Petaling Street

Every time Mr Ang's Godmum come to KL, we will certainly go to Petaling street for at least 1 time. Why? Because of the food. The food that exists since 20 years ago. ok, ladies and gentlemen, I am going to introduce almost all the favorite food that we will have if we come to Petaling Street.

The very first and a must food stall that we visit as soon as we reach Petaling Street is this porridge stall run by a pair of old couples. It was so good last time that the couple only opt to open it during the weekends. There were reporters who want to take its photos but were chased away by the uncle. It is famous for its pork internal organs porridge ie pig blood, pig intestines, pig tongue, pig ear etc. (P.S. I am so sorry. My vocab is quite poor that I can't figure other words for internal organs. Please leave comments to correct me.) I never fancy internal organs and I am very aware that internal organs are very high in cholesterol but I still eat them occasionally. Thank goodness they also serve fish porridge which I order every time. I really love porridge since anytime. I can eat porridge with anything. Mr Ang, on the other hand, not a fan of porridge. This stall serve really good watery porridge. Oh, and I love watery porridge!

This is the simple and lousy stall with old tables and chairs. This is the boss lady who has better temper.
Another view of the stall in color.

It is wrtten on the menu in chinese: pork internal organs porridge, raw fish porridge.

This is Godmum taking picture with boss lady.
Our food. Mouth watering, huh?
This is the fried pork intestines. Yummy!

This is the boss. To prove my words, can you see his anger via his eyes which translated "don't you take any more pictures and disturb my business here!" lol. (P.S. Mr Ang secretly took this picture when we were leaving, thinking he wasn't aware of it.)

Now, the optional stalls. For dessert, Mr loves this stall which serve drinks including cendol. Literally, Mr Ang grow up with this stall. Well, that means, the stall is as old as him! hahaha....My mum's Honda motorcyle is as old as me too, and it is still around!
The cendol. We ordered a few and share.

After that, we will walk around, window shopping along Petaling Street for 10 minutes before heading to next food stall.
Petaling Street, which is famous for fake bags, pirated discs, you name it, they have it, anything that is fake!
One of the stalls.
Mr Ang and me.
Again.

Most of the time, we only manage to visit 2 food stalls in a day bacause our stomach just can't take the 3rd one. This tme around, we chose this old stall which serve its famous wantan noodle and dumpling. I am also giving this stall 2 thumbs up for its food!

This is the wantan noodle with char siew. Nice, but I was too full to have it. I only managed to take one bite.

The dumpling soup. Good one.

Really good wantan mee that a vegetarian would also love it. See that aunty slurping the mee? She is a vegetarian who ordered wantan noodle only without any dish.

For other optional stall, we have a restaurant which serve best fired mee in town, then, a stall which serve best asam laksa in KL, then, hmm...i think that's it. Remind me if there are more, baby.

When we reached home that day, we saw 3 HUGE 4 legged snake near the sewage pond in front of the house. We manage to take the picture of 2 of it.

You just have to look carefully for the 2 snakes.
