I was in the train when I overheard two Chinese guys(most likely from China, Province Foochow) talking to each other. The accent of their mother tongue was so familiar. Oh, it was Foochow accent....but...i can't understand a single word they said. The Foochow was too pure that I can't even understand a single word! At first, I thought I was wrong, and they were talking in Vietnamese or Burmese. So, I just stood there as long as I could hear them conversed. Finally, I was sure that they are Foochow when I heard the word "yi" and "nu", which means "he/she" and "you". Now I can really put myself in Mr Ang's shoes when he hear us talking. All that in his mind was " Jia..........you.........me.....she.......Bibi......Nong.....you..........mummy.....daddy.....Onge....."
P.S. I want to give Mr Ang a credit, because over the years, he has improved some of his Foochow listening skill. Thanks to me, who scold in Foochow every time we had a fight!
