Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Last month, I had my wisdom tooth extraction done. This is my fourth and final wisdom tooth. You see, all the 4 wisdom teeth have grown out but none of them stay. This is because all of the teeth didn't grow well. They either grew horizontally, or dislocated. They never grow vertically. When these things happen, most of the time those teeth can't be kept, cos they will cause trouble eventually. Thus, this is my final wisdom tooth extraction.

I was so lucky that my tooth extraction didn't cost me single cents and Mr Ang took a day off to acompany me there. He was afraid that I was not able to drive after local anesthetic. Well, this was not merely a tooth extraction. This was a minor oral surgery because due to the horizontally growing tooth, the surgeon need to remove some of my gum in order to extract it. I was lucky enough to visit the dentist at that time around cos the dental students were having an exam and they need some mock patients. I was given the opportunity to become one and being paid RM30 for it. Basically, I was quarantined in a room with some other patients, and then placed and prepared in another room for the students to examine. Eventually, the dentist will extract the tooth within half an hour before i go home.

This is the waiting area. Mr ang waited with me there. He brought along some buns and newspaper in case he got bored while waiting for me.

It is written there "Kaunter Klinik Pembedahan Mulut Dan Maksilofasial", which translated into Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Counter".

That is Mr Ang playing his iphone while waiting.

This is me waiting in the quarantine room with other patients.

Those are fractions of my final wisdom tooth. The dentist was unable to extract the whole tooth out at one time. He had to fragmented it. Few days post-surgery was very uncomfortable and the gum really hurts. But now it is all clear and comfy.

P.S Sorry for the blur picture
